The guardianship of a disabled family member became even more difficult when my original attorney passed away suddenly. Ms. West was highly recommended to me and I have been very pleased with her help in this matter. A friend recommended Shelly West to me a few years ago when I was beginning what turned out to be a 2 year custody case. She was highly recommended and I had no idea what I was getting into since I have had no dealings with courts or lawyers etc. Shelly was very patient with me, coached me through the whole process and wasn’t shy about telling me if I was doing something wrong. The whole court process can be expensive BUT Shelly taught me how to pick out what information was important or not, suggested ways that I could do things myself as well as informing me on realistic odds of things and where money may not be best spent allowing me to make decisions as far as best bang for my buck. There are many variables in these situations and there is no way to predict 100% of the time what judges will do but I have told her and her staff many times that even when things didn’t go my way I know that Shelly West and her whole staff had my son’s best interest at heart the whole time… and that was the most important thing to me.

Shelly West is a clear counterpoint to my usual view of attorneys.
